A native of Lancaster, PA, Matt’s introduction to the world of classical guitar was anything but ordinary.  After what was to be a brief stint of lessons, a chance meeting with Cuban virtuoso Ernesto Tamayo quickly resulted in private instruction and a blossoming interest in the Spanish guitar.  Currently, Matt is a scholarship recipient pursuing graduate studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music with Mr. David Tanenbaum. Matt is also an active teacher in the San Francisco area and teaches at the KIPP Bay Academy through SFCM’s music outreach program, Conservatory in the Schools.  Aside from the guitar, Matt considers himself an expert on Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavors and the biggest Led Zeppelin fan under 50.

I am totally on the same page with you about the Ben & Jerry’s, Matt — expert level, for sure.
